No i think it’s a jerk problem. I’m a hetero male and I didn’t get distracted in class from what girls were wearing. That being said, I did look and find women attractive from what they were wearing, but I think people generally wear what they find themselves attractive in, so me finding them attractive isn’t an issue. Now, had I been creepy and acted like a neanderthal about it (read as “typical penis lead male” ) then yeah, it’d been a problem.
Course, then again, I respect women simply because we’re all human. A level of respect is always there from the start and depending on how the person acts towards others and myself, that respect either goes up or down. Just like the point bar in a guitar hero game, you start in the middle and if you suck it goes down; you rock, it goes up. Simple.
Do I think certain types of women’s clothing are a temptation? Sure, my male, species-procreating brain likes to look at women, but I don’t act on it because it isn’t right. I do feel revealing one’s self isn’t necessarily a good thing for society in general, as modesty has it’s place. However if we taught that a person’s mind is more important than their body, maybe this wouldn’t be an issue. I know that’s how it is for me. You could be the most beautiful woman in the world, but if you can’t keep a decently intelligent conversation with me, it doesn’t matter. A person’s mind and soul is what makes someone absolutely beautiful. Physical attraction always plays a part, don’t let me downplay that, but it isn’t the key factor and shouldn’t be, IMO.
So, I didn’t expect that to turn into an essay, but there it is. Lol.
